A technique for psychic vampirism :
"Here's how I attempted psychic vampirism on Kaleb. I was lying in bed before going to sleep and then I closed my eyes and imagined his face. I then imagined connecting myself to him with a white energy line/tendril. Then I imagined his emotions, specifically his happiness, and his happiness being in a sort of container. And then I just well....began to suck his happiness out. I imagined his container of happiness juice slowly draining as I sucked it out and transferred it all to myself. After I was done, I don't know if it worked. I certainly calmed down and slept better that night, but I don't know if that's all that happened."

Psychic Shield Technique :
"Basically, you have to get the feel of it. I don't know how to explain it any other way than that. Just get the feel of the thing. What I do is feel energy coming from me, from my heart/stomach area usually. You can also use your hands to sort of grasp the energy. Then put your intentions into that ball of energy, why you want to make the shield in the first place. I also imagine the ball of energy taking a color to it, and the ball buzzing and glowing as if it's electric. Then just push it out of your body and outside of you, protecting you, and let it settle there. Before, I used to get exhausted keeping a shield up, but imo if you make the shield powerful enough you don't hate to concentrate on keeping it up because it'll stay up for a while. If you want to put the shield on someone else, do the same thing, but visualize the person you want to protect in your mind and put the shield around them instead. Basically, making psionic shields is like any other skill. You can have a natural talent for it, but if you don't practice, you'll never use its full potential. Pretty much what my guitar teacher told me. Damn, am I comparing making psionic shields to guitar playing? I am. That's pretty much how you make one, though."
